ByHi Everyone,
Well we had a bit of a mix up last night — we asked the Orang Asli to close the traps as it looked pretty bad (i.e. it was raining) at 6 pm. Somehow the message wasn’t conveyed, so the traps remained open. It didn’t actually rain much more after that original shower, but still the catch rate was depressingly low
. The trap set were KL0136, KL0138, KL0140, KL0142, KL0144, KL0146, KL0118, KL0120, KL0122, KL0124, KL0126, KL0128, and we are on the grid for good now!
| Band | R | Date | Time | Trap | Species | Sex | Age | FA(mm) | Wt(g) |
| MBCRUC2231 | 8-Jun-10 | 21:00 | KL0144 | Hipposideros cervinus | F | A | 50.4 | 10.00 | |
| MBCRU7106 | R | 8-Jun-10 | 21:00 | KL0124 | Murina suilla | F | A | 31.4 | 4.00 |
| MBCRUC1940 | R | 8-Jun-10 | 7:00 | KL0122 | Rhinolophus trifoliatus | F | A | 52.7 | 16.75 |
So keep your fingers crossed that we have a better night tonight.
Dr Kingston
